Anyone else love living in Bardmoor?

So, Just moved here 11 months ago and Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Bardmoor sits at 355.4 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cheers. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Riverside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options
- The weather scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
