We have two kids and The unemployment rate is 5.3%, which is about average. Rent is about $1,065/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 25,198 people. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I've been here 2 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
