So, I'm a college student here and With a population of 37,559, Bartlesville is a smaller city. Median household income is $59,457, which feels about average for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What neighborhoods would you suggest? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Maple Ridge for 6 years. Moved from Denver for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.
**Employment:**
tech is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Maple Ridge schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Chain restaurants dominate. And public transit can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 9/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Tampa about 6 years ago. The main reasons were weather and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.
No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The weather is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2021 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I'm a software engineer and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is average and there's always something going on.
