OK so I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -Bartlett sits at 315.4 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much growing but now it's underrated.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Midtown for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- The walkability scene is improving
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
