OK so Homes are going for about $210,400 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. What do you all think? Thanks in advance! Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Highland for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The community vibe scene is improving
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Nightlife is limited
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..
