Pros and cons of Batavia after 1 years

Anyone else feel this way? We're a young couple and The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $139,700 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What do you all think?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Baltimore about 14 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Happy to answer more specific questions..
