Is Batesville getting better or worse?

Hello, It's a a small town city with about 11,385 people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I wrong here? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Westside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in tech. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
