OK so With a population of 11,385, Batesville is a small town. Homes are going for about $159,200 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
