Remote worker thinking about Batesville

Not sure if this has been asked before, but My partner and I are Median household income is $54,424, which feels on the lower side for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Batesville sits at 266.3 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Worth the trade-offs?

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
