Day-to-day life in Bath, PA

Military spouse here. With a population of 2,829, Bath is a small town. Homes are going for about $228,500 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Bath sits at 228.2 per 100K. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I work in healthcare here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is improving. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 3 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
