Pros and cons of Battle Ground after 9 years

Curious what people think. My partner and I are Rent is about $1,469/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 21,293 people. The median home value here is around $452,000, which is pretty steep. Crime rate is something to consider -Battle Ground sits at 79.5 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Close to nature
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Hot summers
- Sprawl everywhere
- Lack of diversity
- Poor road conditions
Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
