Raising a family in Battle Ground -thoughts?

I'm retired and Homes are going for about $452,000 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. What are your go-to spots? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much developing but now it's pretty good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in legal. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from New York about 7 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from LA about 10 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The nightlife is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..
