Job market in Baxter Estates for tech?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $175,125, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $175,125 in Baxter Estates. Rent is about $2,167/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Old Town. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in finance. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
