Hi all, I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 15.2%, which is higher than I expected. You can expect to pay around $739 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Is this normal for Bay City? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
