Cheapest neighborhoods in Bay Village?

Hey everyone, Homes are going for about $332,500 on average. The median home value here is around $332,500, which seems about average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What neighborhoods would you suggest? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in South for 15 years. Moved from Phoenix for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
construction is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is decent - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. South schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Not a lot of cultural diversity. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 7/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Uptown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Houston about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are stable, gas is excellent.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great BBQ places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
