Is Bayonne worth it salary-wise?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Houston about 5 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. No regrets on my end..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Fairview area are pretty good. Kids love it here.
