Job market in Bayonne for tech?

Hey, I'm originally from San Diego and The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $81,285, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $446,100, which is pretty steep. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Westside. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Nashville it's average.
