Raising a family in Bayonne -thoughts?

Been meaning to ask this. With a population of 70,468, Bayonne is a smaller city. Median household income is $81,285, which feels pretty solid for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Appreciate any input. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in North. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
