Hi all, It's a a small town city with about 8,831 people. With a population of 8,831, Bayport is a small town. The unemployment rate is 0.5%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,879/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Boston about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is average.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Tampa it's better than expected.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Miami about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a sales manager and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is tough and there's always something going on.
