Bayshore Gardens job market vs Sacramento

First post here. I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a small town city with about 18,324 people. Poverty rate is 10.5%, which is around average. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

Came here for family and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The nightlife is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
