Best coffee shops in Bayshore Gardens?

I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $50,896 in Bayshore Gardens. The unemployment rate is 7.4%, which is concerning. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I overthinking this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Bought a house here in 2016 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a software engineer, 25, moved here 12 years ago from Baltimore. I've lived in Cedar Grove and Fairview, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Low crime in most neighborhoods
3. Four distinct seasons
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The cultural scene situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Cedar Grove: Great for couples. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Fairview: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Baltimore, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Sunset. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in real estate. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

No regrets on my end..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.
