Baytown in the winter -how bad?

Hello, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $61,699, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Baytown sits at 418.2 per 100K. Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. Homes are going for about $187,900 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2022 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Pine Hills area are average. Kids love it here.
