Couple moving to Baywood from out of state

We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Baywood sits at 22.0 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for Baywood?

Moved here from Pittsburgh about 13 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to cost of living but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much developing but now it's excellent.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely solid and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (West) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in East area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is pretty good in most areas.
