Why I chose Beach Park over bigger cities

Not sure if this has been asked before, but With a population of 13,988, Beach Park is a small town. You can expect to pay around $1,235 for rent here. The median home value here is around $223,600, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 13,988 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Pros:
- Low crime in most areas
- Diverse community
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Not very walkable
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Is this normal for Beach Park? Appreciate any input. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the The Heights side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The food scene is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Bought a house here in 2020 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
