Best apartments in Beachwood under ?

Hello, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $381,600, which seems about average. You can expect to pay around $1,941 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I wrong here? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. No regrets on my end..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 7 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Denver about 8 years ago. The main reasons were family and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is decent.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a lawyer, 51, moved here 6 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in Maple Ridge and Pine Hills, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Lots of new development happening
2. Active local events and festivals
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Can feel isolated
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The school system situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Maple Ridge: Great for young professionals. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- Pine Hills: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $70K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 12 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
