Best companies to work for in Beacon?

Hey everyone, We're a young couple and It's a a small town city with about 14,629 people. Household incomes average around $93,347 in Beacon. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What do you all think? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 44, moved here 3 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in South and West, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Property taxes are high
3. The traffic situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for couples. excellent vibes, walkable.
- West: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $80K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Would recommend to anyone considering it.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I work in tech here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for weather and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The housing market is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
