Anyone else love living in Beatrice?

Hey folks, Household incomes average around $54,583 in Beatrice. It's a a small town city with about 12,233 people. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Growing food scene
- Easy commute

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Limited dining options
- Chain restaurants dominate
What do you all think? Thanks in advance! The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Uptown for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- The traffic scene is improving

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited public transit options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..
