Honest thoughts on life in Beaufort

Hey, I'm a 29-year-old pharmacist and Household incomes average around $59,454 in Beaufort. Crime rate is something to consider -Beaufort sits at 430.1 per 100K. Poverty rate is 14.8%, which is around average. Average temperature is around 67--F, so the weather is moderate. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? Cheers. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.
