Working in Beaumont -salaries realistic?

So, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $1,505/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,505 for rent here. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? Any help is appreciated. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to New York it's hit or miss.
