Beaver Falls quality of life -am I missing something?
I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $740 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 8,885 people. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Beaver Falls? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from New York about 12 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..

**Employment:**

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in East. It's decent for what you get.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 6 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
