Best and worst neighborhoods in Beaverton

Alright, I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $94,279, which feels pretty solid for the area. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Any advice would be great. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 5 years. Moved from Charlotte for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. government is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Can feel isolated. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 5/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 1 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Highland. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in construction. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I work in consulting here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is surprisingly good. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Charlotte it's underrated.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 5 years ago. The main reasons were school and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is excellent.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.
