Moving to Beckley -what should I know?

I'm a college student here and Median household income is $39,939, which feels on the lower side for the area. Homes are going for about $148,800 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
