Curious what people think. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $830,800 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Let me know your thoughts.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Nashville about 4 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is better than expected.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is solid.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Definitely worth checking out..
