Thinking about relocating to Bel Aire from Nashville
Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $93,182 in Bel Aire. You can expect to pay around $1,454 for rent here. The median home value here is around $213,500, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $213,500 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What are your go-to spots? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in retail. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value job market, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely pretty good and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Fairview) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
