It's a a smaller city city with about 32,830 people. Rent is about $1,538/month for a decent place. Median household income is $60,641, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $561,400 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts? Any help is appreciated. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The pet-friendliness is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Portland about 2 years ago. The main reasons were school and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Seattle about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is improving.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Came here for family and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The healthcare is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
