Considering Bell Canyon vs Austin -help me decide
Born and raised here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I overthinking this?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in construction. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Thai.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
