Anyone regret moving to Bell Gardens?
Hey, Anyone in a similar situation? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I've been in Meadowbrook for 15 years. Moved from Tampa for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2024 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.
**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Meadowbrook schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Property taxes are high. Bugs and humidity in summer. And healthcare can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The weather is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is underrated.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:

- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The pet-friendliness scene is average
