Alright, With a population of 30,935, Bella Vista is a smaller city. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Should I be concerned? The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely excellent and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (West) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much pricey but now it's pretty good.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Houston it's excellent.
