Considering Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace vs Los Angeles -help me decide

Random thought, We have two kids and Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. The median home value here is around $218,700, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace sits at 604.3 per 100K. Poverty rate is 10.2%, which is around average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Tampa about 15 years ago. The main reasons were work and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Feel free to reach out with questions..
