How much do you pay for rent in Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace?

Crime rate is something to consider -Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace sits at 604.3 per 100K. Poverty rate is 10.2%, which is around average. Median household income is $56,887, which feels about average for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I work in hospitality here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is improving. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a chef, 53, moved here 6 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in Cedar Grove and Midtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Strong job market in several industries
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Property taxes are high
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The outdoor recreation situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Cedar Grove: Great for retirees. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- Midtown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $50K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'm a pharmacist and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Riverside for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
- The public transit scene is average

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in Uptown for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The community vibe scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Thai.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
