Is Belle Fourche a good place to live?
Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2019. Crime rate is something to consider -Belle Fourche sits at 196.4 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $947 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 5,741 people. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Low crime in most areas
- Low taxes
- Easy commute
- Plenty of shopping options
Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
- Not enough green space
Anyone in a similar situation? The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
