Housing in Belle Haven compared to Seattle

Hey, Born and raised here. Median household income is $137,878, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $137,878 in Belle Haven. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Strong sense of community
- Active local events
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- Boring for young people
- Poor road conditions
- Far from major airports
- Not enough green space
Is this normal for Belle Haven? The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Uptown for 1 years. Moved from LA for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is improving - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Uptown schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Limited shopping options. And walkability can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 9/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
