Anyone else feel this way? Been living here since 2012. Median household income is $60,529, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $131,000 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Thoughts? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value job market, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely decent and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Riverside) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
