Best hidden gems in Bellevue

Hi all, I'm originally from Tampa and Median household income is $64,888, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 8,186, Bellevue is a small town. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from New York about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..
