First post here. Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. Poverty rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in tech. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like sushi.
No regrets on my end..
