What Bellflower does better than anywhere else

Hey everyone, Been living here since 2013. Homes are going for about $661,100 on average. Median household income is $77,602, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $661,100, which is pretty steep. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Growing food scene
- Easy commute
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited cultural events
- Not enough green space
What would you do? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to.
