Housing market in Bellingham — is it worth buying?
Median home value here is around $577,400. Prices are steep but there are pockets of affordability. For those renting, typical rent is $1478.
Is now a good time to buy in Bellingham? Or better to keep renting?

Don't sleep on Maple Heights. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Riverside and Highland Park are perfectly safe.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Lakewood. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.
