Should I move to Bellmead or stay in Atlanta?

Curious what people think. We have two kids and It's a a small town city with about 10,550 people. Average temperature is around 67--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,054/month for a decent place. With a population of 10,550, Bellmead is a small town. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Appreciate any input. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- The outdoor recreation scene is average

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..
