Life in Bellmore as a young professional

Been meaning to ask this. Just moved here 16 months ago and With a population of 15,652, Bellmore is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 15,652 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Bellmore sits at 119.0 per 100K. Homes are going for about $661,700 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in North area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 7 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
