Quick question about Bellview

OK so Crime rate is something to consider -Bellview sits at 705.5 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The walkability is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a pharmacist, 56, moved here 12 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in Midtown and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good internet infrastructure
2. Strong sense of community
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Winters are long and cold
2. Limited shopping options
3. The school system situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for families. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt surprisingly good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $80K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Moved here from Houston about 4 years ago. I genuinely enjoy living here. Still getting used to nightlife but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Riverside for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- The school system scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
